Vote for Governor Using Ranked Choice Voting!

The June 2 primary election is coming up and Ventura County Voters are already mailing in their ballots. Like in previous years, voters must pick just one candidate to support in the primary forcing an uncomfortable decision: Do I vote for my preferred candidate, or the one I think has the best chance of winning?!

If we used Ranked Choice Voting to elect our leaders, voters would be free to vote for their favorite candidate without fearing the spoiler effect. We can make that change to our elections, we just need to tell our elected officials that we want it.

But just because we haven’t made the change yet doesn’t mean you can’t vote in our mock-election using RCV. The top 8 political candidates (according to most recent polls) have been placed into our RCV ballot below. Feel free to sort the candidates in order of preference and cast your vote.

Results will be posted after the polls close on June 2. Let the ranking begin!
